Terms of service

1. The service

HideMy.world gives you unique email addresses under your own subdomain (anything@yournick.hidemy.world), filters inbound mail with rules and AI rules, transforms emails into structured JSON, and delivers them to webhooks, Telegram, or forwards them to your inbox. Features and limits depend on your plan, as described on the pricing page.

2. Accounts and nicknames

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Nicknames are permanent and never recycled. When you claim a nickname, it is yours for the life of your account, and if you delete your account, it is retired forever, never released to anyone else. This protects you: nobody can ever take over your old subdomain and receive mail meant for you.
• For the same reason, individual addresses are never re-provisioned to another user, even after deletion.
• Nicknames must not impersonate other people, brands or organisations, or be offensive. We may require a change of nickname in such cases.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to originate spam or unsolicited bulk mail, including via forwarding or reply features.
• Do not use it to receive, store or distribute content that is illegal under the law of England and Wales or your own jurisdiction.
• AI evaluations are subject to fair use within your plan's quota; automated attempts to circumvent quotas are a breach of these terms.
• Do not probe, overload or interfere with the service. We may throttle, suspend or block accounts and traffic that we reasonably consider abusive, and we may remove content we are legally required to remove.

4. Plans and billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe, in advance, at the prices shown on the pricing page when you subscribe.
• Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated for the remainder of the current period.
• Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• If you exceed your plan's monthly email limit, additional inbound mail is held for 7 days: upgrade within that window and it is released to your pipelines; otherwise it is discarded.
• No refunds for partial billing periods, except where the law gives you a non-waivable right to one.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

5. Service limits and availability

Each plan carries limits (addresses, emails per month, rules, AI evaluations, transformers, retention) which we enforce technically. We work hard to keep the service available but provide it "as is" and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor that every email will be delivered. Do not rely on the service for emergency, life-critical or legally time-critical communications.

6. Intellectual property

We own the service, its software, design and branding. You own your content (your emails, rules and transformer configurations) and grant us only the licence needed to store, process and deliver it as the service is designed to do. That licence ends when the content is deleted.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard; your data is then removed per our privacy policy and your nickname is permanently retired. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms; where reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data beyond what these terms and our privacy policy commit us to. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you additional rights or a different forum.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. The date at the top always tells you when they last changed.
